TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -Bobby Bowden will be at Florida State for at least one more year, his attorney confirmed Friday.
``We've come to a handshake agreement,'' said attorney Russ Campbell of Birmingham, Ala. ``It hasn't been finalized yet.''
Florida State's general counsel, Betty Steffens, said she would not discuss details of the new contract until it was signed by all parties.
Bowden's existing contract,a five-year deal, expires in early January.
Bowden's 373 career wins - the most among major college coaches - are two more than Penn State's Joe Paterno.
