AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -Texas senior center Dallas Griffin will miss the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his right knee.
Griffin tore the anterior cruciate ligament Saturday in the first half of Texas’ 38-35 win over Oklahoma State, coach Mack Brown said Monday. The Longhorns (8-2, 4-2 Big 12) rallied with 24 points in the fourth quarter.
“He was a leader for us,” Brown said of Griffin, who was recently named a finalist for the Draddy Trophy, given to college football’s top scholar athlete.
