LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson’s NCAA record streak of passes thrown without an interception was snapped Saturday by the national leader in interceptions, Florida Atlantic’s Tavious Polo.
The freshman cornerback got his seventh interception of the season early in the third quarter near the Florida Atlantic goal line. Woodson’s record streak ended at 325. The near-sellout crowd at Commonwealth Stadium applauded Woodson afterward.
Last week against Arkansas, Woodson broke Trent Dilfer’s major college mark of 271 passes without an interception. He broke the Southeastern Conference record a week earlier against Louisville.
At the time of the interception, the No. 14 Wildcats led Florida Atlantic 28-10. Touchdown passes from Woodson accounted for all the Kentucky scoring.
