BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -Ryan Berry threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns, and the South Dakota State defense held Stephen F. Austin to just 219 total yards in a 45-0 Jackrabbits win on Saturday.
Berry completed 17 of 27 passes for SDSU (2-3), which won for the second straight time after starting the year 0-3.
Berry threw a 52-yard touchdown pass to JaRon Harris early in the third quarter to give the Jackrabbits a 28-0 lead. He also tossed a 5-yarder to Matt Anderson. Harris caught four passes for 111 yards.
Kyle Minett led SDSU with 56 yards rushing on six carries. He scored on a 28-yard run.
Parker Douglass kicked field goals of 24, 37 and a school-record 57-yards for the Jackrabbits. Douglass also set school records with his 12th straight field goal and 108th PAT.
SFA (0-4) struggled to get anything going offensively. It ran 36 times for just 109 yards. Louie Runnels carried 19 times for 37 yards.
Danny Southall completed 14 of 21 passes for 94 yards and was picked off three times. Jeremy Clayborn was 4-for-8 for 16 yards and was intercepted twice.
Conrad Kjerstad returned an interception 82 yards for a TD for SDSU.
SFA had just 12 first downs in the game.
