EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -Suspended Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount appeared on the field with his teammates before the Ducks’ game against Purdue on Saturday night.
Blount, wearing his No. 9 jersey and a New York Mets cap, tossed around a football with Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli. He did not speak with reporters.
Coach Chip Kelly suspended Blount for the season last week after he punched Boise State defensive end Byron Hout following Oregon’s opener. The Ducks lost 19-8.
Blount, a senior, was allowed to stay on scholarship and practice with the team, but cannot appear in any games.
