STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -Penn State coach Joe Paterno kicked one player off the team and said three players will not face Oregon State this weekend because of separate, undisclosed off-field issues.
Paterno said backup defensive back Willie Harriott has been kicked off the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Paterno says defensive linemen Maurice Evans and Abe Koroma, and tight end Andrew Quarless will sit out when Oregon State visits 19th-ranked Penn State on Saturday. He said on his Thursday night radio show that he’s still gathering information on a recent off-field incident.
