GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) -East Carolina’s game with West Virginia still is set for Saturday, but athletic director Terry Holland is asking some fans to change the way they park outside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Holland said Thursday that all parking lots will open at 1:30 p.m. – three hours before the scheduled kickoff time – to allow drainage in case Tropical Storm Hanna causes localized flooding.
Tents and tow cookers will be prohibited from the lots in case of space limitations. Holland also is encouraging fans to carpool to lessen congestion.
Officials say they’ll issue another update at midday Friday, when more information is known about the storm’s projected path.
