CLEVELAND (AP) -Baltimore Ravens cornerback Derrick Martin was cited for drug abuse after he was found in possession of suspected marijuana at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Cleveland police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho said airport screeners discovered three bags of suspected marjiuana while searching Martin at a security checkpoint Saturday night.
Stacho says police are testing the substance to determine whether it tests positive for marijuana. He said the citation is a misdemeanor with a maximum penalty of a $100 fine.
Baltimore Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said Martin has denied that the incident occurred.
Martin was a sixth-round draft pick in 2006 out of Wyoming.
