AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Texas has hired Auburn football assistant Herb Hand as offensive line coach and co-offensive coordinator.
Hand joins a program that went 7-6 in coach Tom Herman's first season. The Longhorns returned to the postseason for the first time since 2013 and beat Missouri in the Texas Bowl.
Hand spent the last two seasons at Auburn and had previous coaching stops at Tulsa, Penn State, West Virginia and Vanderbilt.
Texas did not immediately release Hand's salary or contract terms Tuesday.
