The Sun Devils were a pretty solid defense this season, allowing just 23.1 points and 387.1 yards per game. Their run defense allowed just 117 yards per game. Offensively, ASU is putting up 25.2 points and 379.6 yards per game. Jayden Daniels has had a pretty solid year. Eno Benjamin is the team’s leading rusher with 1,083 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Florida State dominated by Florida
It’s been quite a season for Florida State. The team fired head coach Willie Taggart during the season and the Seminoles hired Memphis coach Mike Norvell to take over going forward. FSU is coming off a 40-17 loss to Florida to end the regular season. Florida State is 6-6 on the season, 4-7-1 against the spread and 6-6 with the over/under total.

Their pass defense was among the worst in the nation, giving up 283.5 yards per game. FSU is going to be without a number of players in this game, as quite a few have decided not to play. Among the biggest is leading rusher Cam Akers, who had 1,144 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. James Blackman is leading the team with 2,095 passing yards and 16 touchdowns while Tamorrion Terry is the leading receiver with 51 catches for 1,023 yards and eight scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Arizona State
The Sun Devils have hit the over in four straight against ACC opponents and in five of their last six games on turf.
Florida State
The Seminoles have hit the over in four straight bowl games and in seven of their last eight at a neutral site.
Prediction:
FSU has been a mess throughout the season and it now goes into a game without a lot of key players against a team that can actually defend. We saw the Seminoles struggled with the likes of Miami, Clemson, Florid and Wake Forest in recent games due to a lack of offense. I think that will be the case in this one. ASU has some talent on offense, but isn’t a consistent unit. The Sun Devils would like to control the ball and limit possessions. It should be able to do that here, which should lead to a low total.
Sun Bowl Prediction: Florida State/Arizona State Under 54
