SOUTH FLORIDA KEY TRENDS: The Bulls are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus SEC opponents, are 0-4 against the number in their last four games in December and have failed to cover in nine of their last 11 games played on Thursday. That said, they’re 7-3 at the betting window in their last 10 non-conference games and are 15-6-1 against the spread in their last 22 games overall.
SOUTH CAROLINA KEY TRENDS: The Gameocks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five neutral site games and are 7-3 against the number in their last 10 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. They’ve also covered in 11 of their last 16 contests after accumulating less than 275 total yards in their previous game.

OUR PREDICTION: Quinton Flowers and USF’s offense is averaging 515.1 total yards per game and 43.6 points, but South Carolina’s defense has the talent to frustrate the Bulls. The Gamecocks allowed 24.8 points per game and 204.3 passing yards per contest in the SEC, and this was with an offense that didn’t protect them with great field position or many points. Speaking of the Gamecocks offense, they came to life at the end of the year, save for the 56-7 loss to Clemson during Rivalry Week. Bottom line, this is too many points to lay against a SEC team that should be motivated to finish on a high note.
