Multiple outlets are reporting that Boston College HC Steve Addazio's contract has been extended through the 2022 season. Just a minor two-year extension, here, as Addazio's contract had previously been set to run through the 2020 season. His Boston College team turned in a 7-5 record for the 2018 regular season and will be taking on Boise State in the First Responder Bowl come Dec. 26. Addazio owns a .500 record (38-38) with the Eagles since taking over as head coach prior to the 2013 season.
Boise State Broncos
Boise State freshman WR Khalil Shakir (undisclosed) will not play in the First Responders Bowl against Boston College. Shakir was expected to play as of three weeks ago, but those plans have changed due to his unknown injury. Boise State will also be without wide receiver John Hightower and running back Robert Mahone, so volume will be funneled towards the top end players like Sean Modster.
The over is 4-0 in the Eagles’ last four bowl games but the under is 4-1 in their last five games overall.
The under is 5-0 in the Broncos’ last five games overall but the over is 5-2 in their last seven bowl games.
