Army vs. Navy Pick

College Football Picks: Will Army vs. Navy be high-scoring? 12/10/16

As tradition in college football, the final regular season game will be played between Army and Navy this Saturday. Will the game be high-scoring?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Midshipmen are 6-point favorites versus the Black Knights after opening as an 11.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 51.5 and has been bet down to 47.

Bet the Army vs. Navy Game

Navy suffered its first loss in over a month last Saturday, losing 34-10 to Temple in the American Athletic Conference Championship. The Owls snapped the Midshipmen's 15-game home winning streak at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, which was tied with Houston for the longest home mark in the nation. Navy quarterback Will Worth injured his ankle early in the second quarter and later appeared on the sidelines with crutches and an air cast on his left foot. His season is over.

Army has lost two of its last three games but did beat Morgan State 60-3 in its last game a couple of weeks ago. The win gave the Black Knights a winning record at 6-5 and after covering as a 43.5-point favorite, Army also has a winning record at the betting window at 6-5 as well. The under has cashed in seven of their 11 games this season.

OUR PREDICTION: On top of losing Worth, Navy also lost three slotbacks, Darryl Bonner (head), Dishan Romine (leg) and Toneo Gulley (Ankle), to injuries. It could be difficult for the Midshipmen to move the ball as effectively on offense as they have for most of the season, plus Army is well rested after not playing the past few weeks. The under is a near-perfect 10-1 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams and should cash again on Saturday when these two teams renew their historic rivalry.
