Injury Report
For Army, defensive lineman Andrew McLean is out for the year with a knee injury, as is defensive back Jalen Sharp. Running back Kell Walker (ankle) is probable but Marcus Hyatt (Defensive back) is out. Mike Johnson (knee), Amaedo West (knee), and Michael Johnson (knee), are also out for the year.
On the other side, Elijah Merchant is questionable with an undisclosed injury while Taylor Helfin is suspended. Tyris Wooten is also questionable with an undisclosed injury while Jerry Thompson (Arm) is out for the year.
OUR PREDICTION: The under is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams and is a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings when Navy is the host team. The under is also 15-3 in the Black Knights’ last 18 neutral site games, is 25-9-1 in their last 35 games played on grass, and is 11-2 in their last 13 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
On the other side, the under is 4-0 in the Midshipmen’s last four games against Independent opponents, is 8-2 in their last 10 neutral site games and is 13-3 in their last 16 games played in the month of December.
Both of these teams run the triple-option and thus, the clock is always moving. As the trends indicate, the under has been a great bet in recent meetings and if you’re going to play the total in this one, the under is the only way to go (even in a year where Navy isn’t playing much defense).
