Washington State vs. Washington Free Pick
Washington State has been an outstanding play for bettors over the past two months but will the Cougars' ATS streak fall today when they visit rival Washington at 3:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Huskies are 7-point home favorites versus the Cougars while the total currently sits at 52.5 points.
Washington State enters play with an 8-3 record and is an incredible 9-2 against the spread this season. In fact, the Cougars have covered eight straight spreads, including all four of their last four road games. As for Washington, the Huskies are 5-6 straight up and 6-5 against the spread.
Even though coach Mike Leach has refused to name his starting quarterback for today's game, most likely it'll be freshman Peyton Bender over sophomore Luke Falk, who was carted off the field last week after suffering a concussion. The temptation will be to lay the points on Washington and fade a team starting a freshman quarterback on the road. But Bender was neck-in-neck with Falk while battling for the Cougars' starting job this spring. Bender arguably has better physical tools and ran the same offense today that he ran in high school. There will certainly be a few mistakes made by Bender today but he should keep the Cougars within a touchdown.
