Notre Dame vs. Stanford Pick

Notre Dame vs. Stanford College Football Predictions 11/25/17

Who has the edge when No. 20 Stanford plays host to No. 9 Notre Dame in one of the featured games of the day tonight at 8PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at, Notre Dame is the slight favorite, as the Fighting Irish are getting odds of -2.5 points against Stanford. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 56 points. Stanford has won three of their last four meetings in this series but the Irish have covered in three of their last four meetings. The public is currently putting 67 percent of the wagers on Notre Dame on the road. Today’s game is taking place from Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California and will air live on ABC.

Stanford is coming off a 17-14 win over Cal last weekend to improve to 8-3 on the year. The Cardinal are 4-6-1 against the spread this season, going 1-3 ATS in their last four games. Stanford is putting up 31.8 points and 400.1 yards per game this season on offense while allowing 20.7 points and 388 yards per contest. Bryce Love has run for 1,723 yards and 16 touchdowns to lead the Cardinal this year while K.J. Costello has emerged as the QB in recent weeks. He has thrown for 993 yards and five touchdowns this season. JJ Arcega-Whiteside is the leading receiver with 37 catches for 595 yards and five scores.

Notre Dame is coming off a 24-17 win at home over Navy to improve to 9-2 on the season. The Fighting Irish are 7-4 against the spread this season, but they have failed to cover in their last three games. Notre Dame is putting up 36.7 points and 458.5 yards per game while allowing 20.4 points and 370.2 yards per contest on defense. Josh Adams has led the offense with 1,337 rushing yards and nine touchdowns while Brandon Wimbush has run for 704 yards and 14 scores while throwing for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Bet on Notre Dame vs. Stanford

The Irish have looked shaky in recent weeks. They haven’t been able to dominate the average teams like they were and still seem to be reeling from the loss to Miami. Wimbush has been battling a hand injury that has limited his ability. Stanford has had its own issues, but some of those came without Love. Notre Dame is just 7-19 against the spread in its last 26 games in November and something tells me the Cardinal are going to be fine at home tonight.
