Florida State vs. Florida Spread Pick
The Florida State Seminoles need to beat in-state rival Florida to become bowl eligible in 2018. Will they pull off the upset today at 12:00 p.m. ET or will the Gators cover as a touchdown-plus favorite in Tallahassee this afternoon?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Gators are 7.5-point favorites to beat the Seminoles. The total, meanwhile, sits at 52 points. As of this writing, 68% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Gators.
Florida Gators
Florida redshirt sophomore QB Feleipe’ Franks completed 19-of-27 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 21 yards and a score in Saturday’s 63-10 mashing of Idaho. Franks and company handled the now-FCS-dwelling Vandals with ease, dropping 28 points in the first quarter and 21 in the second to account for the bulk of this blowout’s scoring. This was the redshirt sophomore’s best individual performance since late September. For the campaign, he is up to 20 touchdown passes. The Gators will close out their regular season in a date with Florida State next weekend.
Florida State Seminoles
Florida State redshirt junior QB Deondre Francois completed 19-of-39 passes for 322 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in a 22-21 victory over Boston College on Saturday. The completion percentage was ugly, and the two turnovers are less than ideal. That being said, Francois made a few big plays, particularly a 74-yard touchdown pass to Tamorrion Terry with only 1:49 on the clock to give the Seminoles a 22-21 lead. Francois’s offensive line is still a disaster, but there have been just enough moments that have reminded us of how good he was a few short years ago. He’ll look to lead the Seminoles to another upset win over Florida next Saturday.
Betting Trends
Florida
The Gators are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games versus ACC opponents.
Florida State
The Seminoles have covered the spread in four of their last five meetings with SEC opponents.
Prediction
The road team is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven meetings between these two teams while the favorite has covered in 16 of the last 21 meetings. Florida State should be plenty motivated to beat one of its in-state rivals and become bowl eligible, but the problem is this is the Seminoles aren’t very good. I don’t see how they move the ball against this stout Florida defense and while I don’t trust the Gators’ offense, they should reach the end zone enough to cover this spread.
College Football Prediction: Florida Gators -7.5
