Utes tasked with stopping Buffs’ celebration
Colorado’s worst-to-first transformation is nearly complete. But does No. 21 Utah actually stand a chance of spoiling the party in Boulder?
The two schools collide this Saturday evening, with a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Folsom Field. Online sports book BetDSI opened Mike MacIntyre’s squad as a 10-point favorite over the Utes. The over/under is set at 54.

Provided the Buffaloes (9-2) can hold off Troy Williams & Co., they will claim the Pac-12 South just one year after finishing last with a 1-8 league mark. An undefeated home record’s at stake, too. Colorado hasn’t dropped a decision in the Centennial State since Nov. 13, 2015.
Assuming the role of spoiler, Utah (8-3) hopes to bounce back from last weekend’s 30-28 loss to Oregon. Williams racked up almost 300 all-purpose yards in that affair. The quarterback receives ample support from Joe Williams, who’s only the 13th rusher in program history to eclipse 1,000 yards in a single season.
The Buffs have their own one-two punch on offense. Signal-caller Sefo Liufau accounted for three touchdowns in the team’s recent triumph over Washington State. As for Phillip Lindsay, no player in the conference can match his 15 scores on the ground.

In the end, though, the bout in question could boil down to the Utes’ ability to control the line of scrimmage. With Hunter Dimick and Lowell Lotulelei leading the way, the visitors feature one of the nation’s best front-four units. We expect such a group to keep things close in what promises to be a thrilling environment.
