Wake Forest vs. Clemson Odds
No. 1 Clemson hopes to avoid a major letdown on Saturday when the Tigers host Wake Forest at 3:30PM ET on ESPN2.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Clemson is the clear favorite, as the Tigers are getting odds of -29 points against the Demon Deacons. The over/under total for the game has been set at 48 points. Clemson has won six straight in this series, going 4-2 against the spread in that span. These two have hit the under in five of their last seven meetings.
Clemson is 10-0 on the season, 7-0 in the ACC, 5-5 against the spread and 6-4 with the over. The Tigers are coming off a 37-27 win over Syracuse on the road last week to stay unbeaten. Clemson is averaging 38.5 points and 496.3 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing 18.1 points and 291.4 yards per game. Wayne Gallman has run for 1,030 yards and nine touchdowns, but he is doubtful to play with an ankle injury. DeShaun Watson is leading the offense with 2,606 yards and 23 touchdowns while Artavis Scott has caught 68 passes for 627 yards and four scores.
Wake Forest is 3-7 overall, 1-5 in the ACC, 5-5 against the spread and 5-4-1 with the under. The Demon Deacons are coming off a 28-7 loss at Notre Dame last week for their fourth straight loss. Wake is struggling on offense, averaging just 17.5 points and 340.5 yards per game. The defense isn’t too bad, limiting opponents to just 23.5 points and 338.8 yards per game. John Wolford has thrown for 1,362 yards and seven TDs this year, but also has 9 INTs. Cortez Lewis is the leading receiver with 38 catches for 498 yards and two touchdowns while Kendall Hinton has run for 339 yards and six touchdowns.
