TCU vs. Oklahoma Free Pick
Oklahoma will look to keep its playoff hopes alive tonight when it takes on a banged up TCU team at 8:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Sooners are 17-point home favorites versus the Horned Frogs after TCU opened as a 10-point underdog. The total, meanwhile, currently sits at 64 points after opening at 67.
TCU is now 9-1 on the season with its only loss coming to Oklahoma State two weeks ago. The Horned Frogs are also 4-6 against the spread and just 1-4 ATS on the road, while the Sooners are 8-2 at the betting window this season, which includes a 4-1 ATS home mark. Oklahoma is also 9-1 straight up, losing only to Texas in the Red River Rivalry.
The Horned Frogs are severely banged up on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Trevone Boykin was downgraded to doubtful (which caused the point spread to go from Oklahoma -12 to OU -17) with an ankle injury and receiver Josh Doctson will miss the rest of the season due to a wrist injury. Gary Patterson's defense has also been missing several key pieces all season long and with Oklahoma on a mission, the Sooners should rack up plenty of points in efforts to impress the playoff committee. While laying the points with OU is tempting, the over is the better bet. the over is 4-0 in the Sooners' last four home games and 4-0 in their last four games coming off a win.
