The public betting currently has 75 percent going on Oregon as the home favorite. Ducks keep the momentum going
Oregon is on an eight-game winning streak following the 56-24 win at USC two weeks ago. The Ducks are now 8-1 on the season, 6-0 in the Pac-12, 5-4 against the spread and 5-4 with the under.
The Ducks have been among the best on both sides of the ball this season. Defensively, Oregon is allowing just 15.8 points and 315.6 yards per contest. On offense, Oregon is averaging 38.2 points and 463 yards per outing. Quarterback Justin Herbert is leading the team with 2,329 yards and 24 touchdowns passing while CJ Verdell has rushed for 765 yards and five touchdowns. Jacob Breeland is the team’s leading receiver with 26 catches for 405 yards and six touchdowns.
Wildcats drop another
Arizona is riding a four-game losing streak right now following a 56-38 loss at home to Oregon State two weeks ago. The Wildcats are now 4-5 on the season, 2-4 in the Pac-12, 2-6-1 against the spread and 6-3 with the over.
The Wildcats have been a disaster on defense this year, allowing 37.3 points and 481.9 yards per game. Offensively, Arizona has been pretty strong. The Cats are putting up 32.9 points and 495.8 yards per contest. Khalil Tate and Grant Gunnell have both seen action at QB this year. They have combined for 2,698 passing yards and 21 touchdowns. Tate has added 312 rushing yards and three touchdowns while J.J. Taylor is the leading rusher with 566 yards and five scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Oregon
The Ducks are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games following a bye week and 5-2 ATS in their last seven conference games.
Arizona
The Wildcats are 7-20 against the spread in their last 27 road games and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games on fieldturf.
Prediction:
The home team has won and covered the spread in five of the last six in this series and I like Oregon at home tonight. The Ducks have been able to overpower most opponents this year. They did slip up at home with Washington State, but still found a way to win. Today they face an Arizona team that looks like its ready to pack it up for the year. The Wildcats have given up at least 41 points in four straight games and Oregon is sure to add to that. On offense, Arizona is going to fold against the physical pressure that the Ducks can put on. The Wildcats don’t have the mental toughness to overcome that, so things should get out of hand quickly.
