Michigan
The Wolverines are 4-1 against the spread in their last five conference games, but just 1-7 ATS in their last eight games following a bye.
Prediction:
The road team has actually won the last four in this series while Michigan State has covered the spread in nine of the last 10 in this series. Despite that, I like Michigan this weekend. We keep waiting for Michigan State to show that gritty fire they have had in recent seasons, yet they keep letting us down. The Spartans are a mess right now and their defense is getting beat up by bad offenses. Jim Harbaugh and Michigan smell blood in the water and know that can maybe put the final stake in Mark Dantonio’s coaching career with a blowout win at home. The Wolverines have no love lost for the Spartans and I think they will want to make a statement and continue to build on the momentum they have built the last month.
