Tulsa Golden Hurricane Game Notes
JuanCarlosSantana caught two passes for 41 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 27-13 loss to Tulane. Santana’s two catches Saturday are his fewest of the season, and his 41 yards are his second fewest. The senior ranks second on the team in receptions and yards, and is now tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns. Part of the reason for his slower day was due to starting quarterback Davis Brin (shoulder) not playing, but Santana salvaged his game with a 28-yard score late in the first half. Even as a number two receiver, Santana has been consistent all season and represents a solid floor down the stretch.
Memphis Tigers Game Notes
Seth Henigan completed 26 of 39 passes for 284 yards one touchdown and two interceptions, adding 16 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 35-28 loss to UCF. Henigan set a new season high with 69 rushing yards Saturday to go along with his third straight game with over 280 passing yards. Henigan has had a productive season thanks to his rushing upside combined with his consistent passing output. However, Saturday marked the third straight game the sophomore threw two interceptions, hurting his overall day. Next Thursday’s game versus Tulsa will give Henigan another opportunity to use his legs, as the Golden Hurricane have given up over 225 rushing yards per game.
