Auburn Tigers
Auburn redshirt junior QB Jarrett Stidham completed 18-of-29 passes for 239 yards with two touchdowns in a 28-24 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday. Stidham struggled for a very large portion of this game, both with accuracy and with handling the Aggies’ pass rush. The final five-plus minutes of the game, however, were excellent, and Stidham had the game-winning throw on an 11-yard lob to Seth Williams with just under two minutes left. It hasn’t been a great season for the redshirt junior, but all things considered, this one was a pretty decent effort. A tougher test comes next Saturday against Georgia.
Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia sophomore QB Jake Fromm (leg) practiced with a wrap on his right leg on Tuesday. Fromm likewise practiced with a wrap on that right leg on Monday. Marc Weiszer of the Anthens Banner-Herald passes along that the sophomore quarterback did appear to be limping very slightly on Tuesday, but this is not believed to be a serious injury. Fromm sustained the minor injury in Saturday’s win over Kentucky. There have been no indications that the quarterback will be in danger of missing this coming weekend’s game against Auburn, but Justin Fields will be waiting in the wings if needed.
