Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Sooners are 19.5-point favorites to beat the Cowboys. The total, meanwhile, sits at 76.5 points. As of this writing, 57% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Cowboys.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State redshirt senior QB Taylor Cornelius completed 23-of-34 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday’s 38-35 win over Texas. Cornelius (6’6/232) added 23 yards and two scores on the ground, including a big fourth quarter rushing touchdown and game winning first down carry. The redshirt senior was nearly perfect overall, especially when he targeted stud sophomore receiver Tylan Wallace, who posted 10-222-2 against a quality Texas secondary. In fact, the five total touchdowns tied a career high for the quarterback. Cornelius and the Cowboys will ride the momentum of a huge win when they head to Baylor.
Oklahoma Sooners
Oklahoma redshirt junior QB Kyler Murray completed 20-of-35 passes for 360 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in Saturday’s 51-46 win over Texas Tech. Murray added an additional 100 yards and a rushing touchdown on 10 carries to bring his season rushing total to 574 yards. In the gutsy road win that featured 31 combined points in the fourth quarter, Murray connected with three different Sooners for scores, including a flashy 46-yard touchdown pass to Lee Morris in the third quarter. Unfortunately for football fans, we only get three more regular season games of the future pro baseball player, but Oklahoma does have a shot at the CFB Playoff if they can win out. The Sooners need to take care of Oklahoma State next week for that to happen.
