Nebraska vs. Ohio State Prediction
Can No. 10 Nebraska go on the road and compete with No. 6 Ohio State when the two meet up tonight at 8PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Ohio State is heavily favored at home, as the Buckeyes are getting odds of -17 points against the Cornhuskers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 52 points. The home team has won both Big Ten meetings, but Ohio State has covered the spread in both contests.
Bet on Nebraska vs. Ohio State
Ohio State is coming off a 24-20 win over Northwestern last week. The Buckeyes are now 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes are also 4-4 against the spread, but have failed to cover in four straight games. On the season, Ohio State has a solid defense that is giving up just 15.1 points and 295.5 yards per game. On offense, Ohio State is putting up 42.6 points and 492.9 yards per game thanks to a run game that is averaging 272.4 yards per contest. Three different players have over 500 rushing yards this season. Mike Weber is leading the group with 770 yards and six touchdowns. J.T. Barrett has run for 531 yards and six scores while throwing for 1,675 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Nebraska is coming off a 23-17 OT loss last week against Wisconsin to fall to 7-1on the season and 4-1 in the Big Ten. The Huskers are 5-2-1 against the spread on the season and 3-2 ATS in Big Ten play. Nebraska is also led by its defense, as they are holding opponents to 18.4 points and 342.1 yards per contest. Offensively, Nebraska is putting up 32 points and 429.6 yards per contest. Terrell Newby is the team’s leading rusher with 588 yards while QB Tommy Armstrong Jr. has thrown for 1,764 yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for 419 yards and seven touchdowns.

Ohio State has been in a funk as of late. Their last three games have all been decided by 7 points or less, one of them came in OT. Nebraska has a defense that should be able to limit what the Buckeyes will do. Ohio State’s defense also should keep Tommy Armstrong Jr. in check as well. I like Nebraska to cover the spread on the road against the Buckeyes.
