Wildcats plot end lengthy skid vs. Bulldogs
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops hasn’t exactly experienced much success against Georgia. With a bowl bid in sight, though, can the Wildcats pull off a mild upset this evening?
The two SEC schools clash at 7:30 p.m. ET in Lexington. Online sports book BetDSI opened the Bulldogs as 2-point favorites to topple UK. The over/under is 51.
Since arriving on the scene in 2013, Stoops has watched UGA outscore his squad 149-51 in three meetings. It could be difficult for Kentucky to move the ball against Georgia today, too. The visiting program ranks 13th nationally in rushing defense (109.8 yards per contest). Last weekend, Mel Tucker’s unit held Florida 231 total yards.
On the flip side, the Wildcats’ ground attack can produce absolutely devastating results. UK’s averaging 298 rushing yards per game in its five victories. Quarterback Stephen Johnson also possesses a knack for doing just enough through the air to keep the opposing secondary honest.

If the Bulldogs hope to prevail on the road, they’ll need a vintage showing from Nick Chubb. The junior’s only averaged 30 rushing yards in his team’s four losses. Ultimately, we’ll still ride with Kirby Smart’s gang in a high-octane affair.
