Mississippi State vs. Missouri Free Pick
Mississippi State will take on a punchless Missouri team tonight at 9:00PM ET when the two SEC schools clash in Columbia, MO.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bulldogs are now 8-point road favorites after opening as a 7-point favorite earlier in the week. As for the total, it opened at 39 but has been bet up to 43.5 despite the fact that Missouri has one of the least effiective offenses in college football.
Mississippi State is 6-2 on the year and 5-3 at the betting window, which includes a mark of 1-2 ATS on the road. Missouri is 4-4 straight up but a rough 2-6 against the spread, which includes a 1-3 ATS record at home.
This game, like most games for the Tigers in 2015, will come down to Missouri’s inability to move the ball on offense. Freshman quarterback Drew Lock doesn’t have enough help around him and without a running game or receivers to help take pressure off his shoulders, it’s going to be difficult for Lock to match what Dak Prescott does on the other side. Granted, MIZZOU’s defense has been overshadowed by the struggles on offense but Mississippi State is also the best offense that the Tigers have faced all season. Plus, it’s not as if the Bulldogs can’t play defense themselves. This is going to be a tough night for the home crowd in Columbia.
