Baylor vs. Kansas State Free Pick
For the first time in 2015, Baylor will take the field without Seth Russell under center when the Bears visit Kansas State at 7:30PM ET tonight.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Bears are 17-point road favorites versus the Wildcats while the over/under has dropped two full points down from 69 to 67.5.
Baylor enters play with a perfect 7-0 record and is 4-2 against the spread this season, while Kansas State is 3-4 straight up and just 3-4 at the betting window. The Bears are also 1-1 ATS on the road this season while the Wildcats are just 1-3 ATS at home.
Losing Seth Russell was a major blow for Baylor but the success of the offense is more about Art Briles’ system than the quarterback. Freshman Jarrett Stidham draws a tough task playing inside Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium, as Kansas State fans can be tough on opponents. But the offensive line is stout and experienced for Baylor and Stidham has more than enough weapons around him to take the pressure off. Plus, the Wildcats have struggled mightily with Joe Hubener under center. They won’t keep pace the Bears.
