Ball State coming off loss
The Ball State Cardinals are coming off a 34-21 loss at home to Ohio on Oct. 26 for their first MAC loss. Ball State is now 4-4 on the season, 3-1 in the MAC, 5-3 against the spread and 5-3 with the under.
Ball State has been pretty competitive offensively this year, averaging 33 points and 442.2 yards per game. Defensively, the Cardinals are giving up 28.6 points and 401.6 yards per game this season. Drew Plitt is leading the Ball State offense with 1,977 passing yards and 17 touchdowns and six interceptions. Caleb Huntley is the leading rusher with 723 yards and five touchdowns while Riley Miller is the leading receiver with 32 receptions for 457 yards and five scores.
Broncos trying to stay in the mix
Western Michigan is trying to stay in the mix for the MAC title on Tuesday night. The Broncos are coming off a 49-10 win over Bowling Green on Oct. 26 to improve to 5-4 on the season and 3-2 in the MAC. They are ½ a game behind Ball State in the West. The Broncos are 5-4 against the spread and 6-2-1 with the under this year.
The Broncos are playing well on offense this year, averaging 36 points and 461.8 yards per game. Defensively, Western Michigan is giving up 25.8 points and 430.6 yards per contest. LeVante Bellamy is leading the offense with 1,055 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns while Jon Wassink has thrown for 2,273 yards and 16 touchdowns with seven interceptions. College Football Betting Trends
The Cardinals are 7-1-1 with the under in their last nine road games and 6-0-1 with the under in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record.
The Broncos have hit the over in six straight games following a bye week and in four straight Tuesday games.
These two have hit the over in three straight meetings. Western Michigan alone has scored at least 41 points in five straight against Ball State, including three games with at least 52 points. The Broncos remain a strong offensive team and they will be at home, where they have consistently put up points as well. Ball State isn’t known for a lockdown defense, so I don’t see the Broncos having issues scoring this time around. Ball State is capable of putting up points as well and WMU’s defense isn’t anything special, so I would expect a shootout in Kalamazoo.
College Football Week 11 Prediction: Ball State/Western Michigan Over 63.5
