Oregon State vs. USC Spread Prediction
The USC Trojans will likely get over .500 with a win tonight in Corvallis but will they cover as a double-digit road favorite when they take on Oregon State at 10:00 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot
383 USC Trojans at 384 Oregon State Beavers
10:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, November 3, 2018
Reser Stadium, Corvallis, Oregon
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Trojans are 15.5-point favorites to beat the Beavers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 63.5 points. As of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Trojans.
Oregon State Beavers
Oregon State redshirt senior QB Conor Blount (concussion) is still in the concussion protocol, but is expected to be cleared this weekend. The question is whether or not Blount will be cleared ahead of Saturday’s contest against USC. Another question would be whether or not Blount would get the start even if he does, as Jake Luton and Jack Colletto lead Oregon State to their first Pac-12 win while erasing a 28-point deficit. Don’t be surprised if Luton gets the start against the Trojans either way.
USC Trojans
USC freshman QB J.T. Daniels (head) practiced on Tuesday. Daniels has cleared the concussion protocol after sitting against Arizona State on Saturday. Jack Sears took the start versus the Sun Devils, but is expected to resume backup duties when the Trojans take on Oregon State upcoming. For the campaign, Daniels has thrown for 1,618 yards (57.1-percent completions) with an 8/7 TD/INT ratio in seven games. The true frosh signal-caller has played well in spots, but still has clear developmental work ahead of him before he’s ready to lead USC back to true contention.
Betting Trends
USC
The Trojans are 1-5 against the spread in their last six road games against the Beavers.
Oregon State
The Beavers have failed to cover the spread in four of their last five home games and are 1-4 against the number in their last five games overall.
Prediction
Daniels should be ready to go tonight when the Trojans take on the Beavers. Oregon State has allowed 46.3 points per game and have been outgained in their last five games. Granted, the Beavers pulled off the upset against Colorado last week to snap its Pac-12 losing skid but I don’t trust Oregon State’s defense enough to take the points.
College Football Prediction: USC Trojans -15.5
