Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, Clemson is the overwhelming favorite at home, as the Tigers are getting odds of -38.5 points against Louisville. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 61 points. The public betting for this game currently has 57 percent going on Clemson at home. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our College Football Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Clemson locked in

Clemson is coming off a dominant 59-10 win at Florida State last weekend to move to 8-0 on the season. Clemson has won its last three games by at least 34 points. The Tigers are 5-0 in the ACC, 4-4 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under total. Clemson has covered the spread in three straight games.

The Tigers are nearly flawless on both sides of the ball. Defensively, Clemson is giving up just 13 points and 263.9 yards per game. On offense, the Tigers are posting 44.1 points and 522.6 yards per contest. Running back Travis Etienne has rushed for 845 yards and 14 touchdowns to lead the offense while quarterback Trevor Lawrence has thrown for 1,490 yards and 16 scores.

Louisville can’t get on track

The Cardinals are on a five-game losing streak right now following a 56-36 loss to Wake Forest at home last weekend. Louisville is now 2-6 overall, 0-5 in the ACC, 1-7 against the spread and 5-3 with the over. The Cardinals have failed to cover in three straight

Louisville is really struggling on defense this year, allowing 36.3 points and 438 yards per game. Their run defense is giving up 250 yards per contest. On offense, Louisville is averaging 22.3 points and 348.8 yards per contest. Jawon Pass has thrown for 1,587 yards and seven touchdowns, but also has eight interceptions. Trey Smith is the leading rusher on the squad with only 246 yards and four touchdowns.

College Football Betting Trends

Clemson

Clemson is 6-1 against the spread in its last seven conference games and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.

Louisville

Louisville is 7-20 against the spread in its last 27 games overall and 1-4 ATS in its last five conference games.

Prediction:

Clemson has been able to cover against Louisville in its last two meetings, including a dominant 47-21 win last year and against Cardinals team that was much better than the one now. Clemson should run right over Louisville. The Tigers have an offense that should put up a lot of points and a defense that can clearly lock up another opposing offense. Despite the huge spread, I like the Tigers.
