Auburn vs. Vanderbilt Pick
Can Vanderbilt slow Auburn's explosive rushing attack when the two teams meet at 12:00PM ET on Saturday?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Tigers are now 25.5-point home favorites versus the Commodores after opening as a 24.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 45 and that's where it currently sits at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.
VANDERBILT TRENDS: The Commodores won last week but that hasn't been a good thing at the window in year's past. They're 1-5 against the spread in their last six games coming off a straight up win and are just 0-6 ATS in their last six games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. That said, they're 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games in November.
AUBURN TRENDS: The Tigers are a perfect 4-0 against the spread after beating and covering against Ole Miss last Saturday night in the Grove. They're also 5-0 against the number in their last five games overall, are 5-1 at the betting window in their last six home games, and are a perfect 4-0 ATS in their last four games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
OUR PREDICTION: The Commodores have a popgun offense and an underrated defense, which makes them a poor 'over' bet on most Saturdays. But with the way the Tigers are racking up points, it's hard not to roll the dice on the over 45 on Saturday in Auburn. The Tigers hung 40 points on Ole Miss lat week, 56 points versus Arkansas the week before, and 38 points at Mississippi State three weeks ago. With the way Kamryn Pettway is rushing the football right now, it's difficult envisioning any opponent slowing down Auburn's running game at the moment.
