Ball State hammered at Ohio

The Cardinals lost their last game by a 52-14 score at Ohio to drop to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the Mid-American Conference. Riley Neal was 7-of-15 passing for 76 yards and a touchdown before leaving with an injury. Drew Plitt went 9-of-17 through the air for 86 yards and an interception, while he also had also scored on an 8-yard TD run. Drew Gilbert rushed nine times for 52 yards. Justin Hall caught four passes for 42 yards. Riley Miller made two receptions for 30 yards and a TD. Brandon Martin and Bryce Crosby led the defense with nine tackles apiece. The TD pass from Neal to Miller gave Ball State a 7-0 lead in the first quarter before the Bobcats scored 52 straight points.

Rockets roll at Western Michigan

Toledo dominated the second half last game at Western Michigan en route to a 51 24 victory, improving to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in MAC play. Mitchell Guadagni went 10-for-18 passing for 140 yards and two touchdowns before leaving with a shoulder injury. Eli Peters entered and went 8-of-14 for 107 yards and three TDs. Bryant Koback led the ground game with 10 carries for 99 yards and a score. Cody Thompson caught six passes for 63 yards and three touchdowns. Jon'Vea Johnson made two catches for 56, while Diontae Johnson had four catches for 49 and a score. Reggie Gilliam added a 34-yard TD catch. Richard Olekanma paced the defense with nine tackles including a tackle for a loss and half a sack.

College Football Betting Trends

Ball State

The road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. The Cardinals are 6-0 ATS in their last six meetings at Toledo.

Toledo

The Rockets are 0-5 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings at Toledo.

Prediction:

Neal is likely out for this game, which is a huge blow for a Ball State offense that stumbled with Plitt under center for much of the game at Ohio. In the case of Guadagni, he is questionable with a better chance to play but if he doesn't Peters has shown to be a reliable option. Toledo has playmakers all around the quarterback and should have no problem scoring a lot of points in this one. With Ball State probably struggling to put up points, I think Toledo rolls by three or more touchdowns.

PREDICTION: TOLEDO ROCKETS -19
