Syracuse vs. Florida State Prediction
Florida State will try to do something today when it hosts Syracuse at 12:00PM ET that it hasn’t had to do since E.J. Manuel was under center quarterbacking the team: Bounce back from a regular season loss.

The Odds
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Seminoles opened as 21-point home favorites over the Orange but after it was announced that running back Dalvin Cook would not play, the line dropped to 16.5. The total, meanwhile, sits at 53 points after opening at 52.
The Records
Syracuse enters play with a 3-4 record but is 5-2 against the spread this season, which includes a 1-1 ATS mark on the road. Florida State is 6-1 overall, with the one loss coming in devastating fashion last Saturday versus Georgia Tech, and is 3-4 against the spread (2-2 ATS at home).
The Pick
The Seminoles were beaten last week after the Yellow Jackets returned a blocked field goal for a game-winning touchdown in the final seconds of regulation. Now they’re without their best player, running back Dalvin Cook, who will be held out today due to injury. Cook is a massive lose, as he owns 85% of FSU’s rushing yards, and no other back has carried the ball more than five times in the last three games. The Seminoles should still find a way to beat the Orange despite missing Cook, but FSU is 2-6 against the spread in its last eight home games while Syracuse is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games versus a team with a winning record.
