Texas Longhorns Game Notes
Texas redshirt sophomore QB Casey Thompson completed 15-of-27 passes for 179 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in Saturday’s 32-24 loss to Oklahoma State. This is the worst Thompson has looked since taking over as starter for Hudson Card. Bijan Robinson is the one constant in Texas’ offense. When the Longhorns are completing their one-on-one passing opportunities downfield, they become a near-unstoppable force. Today, those downfield shots disappeared. Speaking of Card, he got a snap after Thompson missed a play in the third quarter after he was slammed to the ground. But Thompson returned one play later and appears to be fine. Texas (4-3) has a bye to guarantee that before a tough matchup against Baylor.
Baylor Bears Game Notes
Baylor junior QB Gerry Bohanon completed 18-of-28 passes for 231 yards and a touchdown in a 38-24 win over BYU this Saturday. Bohanon (6’3/221) is coming off a few huge performances, but was rather understated against a BYU defense that does a pretty good job suppressing the passing game. The dual-threat signal caller only gained 10 yards on the ground, which is the third straight game that he rushed for less than 15 yards after going for 27 yards or more in the previous three. It’s also the first time in the last six games that Bohanon didn’t cash in a rushing score. Rather than air-it-out, the Bears pummeled BYU on the ground to the tune of 303 rushing yards. Baylor is on bye next week before taking on Texas on Halloween eve.

On the other side, the under is 7-3 in the Bears’ last 10 games versus a team with a winning record and is 9-4 in their last 13 games following an ATS win.
