USC Trojans Game Notes
Caleb Williams completed 25 of 42 passes for 381 yards and five touchdowns during Saturday’s 43-42 loss against Utah. He also rushed eight times for 57 yards. The difference-maker in this game may very well have been the loss of Jordan Addison as a target for Williams late in the game. Williams can’t be blamed here, as his five touchdown passes and zero interceptions was the. perfect recipe for a W, but the Utes made a gutsy two-point conversion call to upend USC’s quest for a perfect season.
Arizona Wildcats Game Notes
Tetairoa McMillan caught 7 of 9 targets for 132 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday’s 49-39 loss to Washington. The Wildcats lost Jacob Cowing for a few drives due to an ankle injury, but McMillan was already on the way to his best career game. Like many of the other receivers, McMillan played in the shadow of Cowing, but Saturday’s game showed how even a brief Cowing absence lifts the fortunes of the other contributors. McMillan should see an enhanced role moving forward after his standout performance.
