Georgia Tech vs. Clemson Prediction

Georgia Tech vs. Clemson Predictions Against the Spread 10/28/17

Is Georgia Tech a good underdog play tonight when the Yellow Jackets visit ACC rival Clemson at 8:00PM ET?

ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Clemson. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Tigers are now 13.5-point home favorites after opening as a 15.5-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 52 but has been bet down a full two points to 50 at the majority of sports books.

THE PUBLIC LIKES: Clemson, although not by a wide margin. As of this writing, 51% of public bettors are backing the Tigers and laying the double digits. The Tigers are 6-1 on the year and 4-3 against the spread, while the Yellow Jackets are 4-2 straight up and a perfect 6-0 at the betting window.

HISTORICAL TRENDS LIKE: Clemson. The Yellow Jackets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the Tigers and are winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four trips to Clemson. The favorite, meanwhile, is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams while the home squad is 6-1 against the number in the last seven meetings.

WHO WE LIKE: Clemson. The Yellow Jackets have been a great play all year and have played close in every game, including rallying a week ago to beat Wake Forest despite trailing 21-13 at halftime. Still, the Tigers had two weeks to prepare for the Yellow Jackets' triple-option offense and they held Georgia Tech to just seven points and 124 yards a year ago. Clemson will be focused after losing to Syracuse and the Tigers will have quarterback Kelly Bryant back under center tonight. It's tough to win in Death Valley at night. I'll roll the dice that not only Clemson wins, but it rolls.
