West Virginia vs. Ok State Pick
Will Saturday in Stillwater be a defensive struggle when Oklahoma State hosts West Virginia at 12:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cowboys are now 4-point home underdogs after opening as a 3-point dog earlier in the week. As for the total, the number hit the board at 65 and that's where it currently sits at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.
The Mountaineers are a perfect 6-0 on the year after shutting down TCU in a 34-10 win last Saturday. West Virginia has been a good bet of late, covering in each of its last two games, but overall is just 3-3 against the number after failing to cover in three straight games versus Youngstown State, BYU and Kansas State. The under has also cashed in three straight Mountaineer games.
The Cowboys enter Saturday on a three-game winning streak after beating Texas 49-31, Iowa State 38-31, and Kansas 44-20. They've been inconsistent at the betting window, however, covering every other week to go 4-3 against the spread on the season. Oklahoma State's over/under trend is the polar opposite of West Virginia, as the over has cashed in all three of the Cowboys' last three contests.
OUR PICK: Everyone watched the Oklahoma and Texas Tech game last Saturday in Lubbock, right? The week before West Virginia rolled into the same venue and held the Red Raiders to 17 points on their home field. The Mountaineers are allowing just 17.8 points per game, which ranks 15th in the nation. The Cowboys won't have the same offensive success this weekend against a Mountaineer defense that is improving each week. The under is 17-4 in West Virginia's last 21 conference games and is 21-7 in its last 28 games overall.
