OK State vs. West Virginia Total Pick
Is the betting total in Saturday's Big 12 matchup between Oklahoma State and West Virginia set too high?
Who: Oklahoma State (6-1) at West Virginia (5-2)
When: 12:00PM ET, Saturday, October 28
Where: Milan Puskar Stadium, Morgantown, West Virginia
Current Point Spread & Over/Under Total
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under for Saturday's game is sitting at 73.5 after hitting the board at 74. As for the point spread, the Mountaineers opened as 6-point home underdogs but the line has jumped to 7 at the majority of sportsbooks.
OKLAHOMA STATE: Senior quarterback Mason Rudolph completed 25-of-38 passes for 282 yards in Saturday's 13-10 overtime win over Texas last week. This was the first time all season that the Cowboys have scored fewer than 30 points. Rudolph has been among the most statistically brilliant quarterbacks in the country, having thrown at least three touchdown passes in five of six games entering action on Saturday. He figures to be able to rebound from this quiet showing when the Cowboys take on West Virginia next weekend.
WEST VIRGINIA: Redshirt junior quarterback Will Grier completed 26-of-37 passes for 375 yards and five scores in a 38-36 victory over Baylor on Saturday. Grier (6'2/215) dominated the Baylor defense on Saturday, which is no surprise considering how good he is, and how the Bears are not. He found wideout David Sills V for three of his scores, with Marcus Simms and Ka'Raun White hauling in the other two touchdown passes. As of this writing, 76% of public bettors are taking the points with West Virginia.
OUR PREDICTION: The under is actually a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams, which is surprising given how prolific each offense has been in year's past. The under is also 6-1 in the Cowboys' last seven road games and 4-1 in their last five games versus a team with a winning record. Finally, the under has cashed in 12 of the Mountaineers' last 16 games played in the month of October and is 8-2 in their last 10 games versus a team with a winning record.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 9 PICK: OKLAHOMA STATE/WEST VIRGINIA UNDER 73.5
