GEORGIA: Freshman quarterback Jake Fromm completed 18-of-26 passes for 326 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Saturday’s 53-28 win over Georgia. The Bulldogs have largely kept Fromm from having to handle an extensive amount of work in the passing game — they haven’t needed it much — but he was unleashed on Saturday (albeit against Missouri’s awful defensive unit). With his 326 yards passing, Fromm secured the first 300-yard passing performance of his young career. He’s now thrown for 1,162 yards with a 12/3 TD/INT ratio in seven games. Georgia’s offense won’t suddenly morph into a heavy passing attack, but Fromm has more than impressed when asked to since taking over for an injured Jacob Eason at the beginning of the season. As of this writing, 75% of public bettors are backing the Bulldogs on Saturday.
FLORIDA: Freshman running back Malik Davis rushed for 97 yards on 18 carries in Saturday’s 19-17 loss to Texas A&M. Davis (5’11/194) has now posted at least 90 yards rushing in five consecutive games. He has emerged as Florida’s most imapctful runner in absence of Jordan Scarlett, who remains out on suspension. Expect the true freshman to continue to see plenty of work moving forward — the passing game remains an out-and-out mess.
OUR PREDICTION: The under has cashed in five of the last six meetings between these two teams and is 5-1 in the Bulldogs’ last six neutral site games. The under is 5-2 in Georgia’s last seven games overall and is 6-2 in the Dawgs’ last eight conference games. On the other side, the under is 9-4 in the Gators’ last 13 games overall, is 7-3 in their last 10 conference games, and is 5-1 in their last six games played in the month of October.
