ASU beat down by Utah

Arizona State is coming off a 21-3 loss at Utah last weekend to fall to 5-2 on the season. The Sun Devils are now 2-2 in the Pac-12 Conference, 3-4 against the spread and 5-2 with the under.

ASU has been led this season by its defense, as the Sun Devils are giving up just 18.1 points and 352.7 yards per game. Offensively, Arizona State is averaging just 22.1 points and 364.6 yards per contest. Eno Benjamin is leading the team with 633 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Jayden Daniels has thrown for 1,635 yards and eight scores while Brandon Aiyuk has caught 32 passes for 658 yards and five scores.

UCLA gets needed win

UCLA picked up its second win of the season last week with a 34-16 road win at Stanford. The Bruins are 2-5 on the year, with both wins coming in the road. UCLA is 2-2 in the Pac-12, 2-4-1 against the spread and 4-3 with the under.

The Bruins have struggled defensively this year, allowing 34.6 points and 459.7 yards per game. Offensively, UCLA is averaging 27.3 points and 405.6 yards per contest. Dorian Thompson-Robinson has thrown for 1,435 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the offense, but he also has seven interceptions. Joshua Kelley has rushed for 571 yards and four scores while Demetric Felton has 34 receptions for 420 yards and three scores. Felton also has 298 rushing yards.

College Football Betting Trends

Arizona State

The Sun Devils have hit the under in five straight games following a failed cover and in four straight road games.

The Bruins are 5-1 with the over in their last six conference games and in five of their last seven games in October.

These two have hit the under in three of their last four meetings. UCLA has managed a few nice road wins, but the Bruins have struggled at home, giving up 48 points in each of their last two home games. Arizona State isn’t much for offense, so I don’t think the Sun Devils can do much scoring even on a bad defensive team like UCLA. UCLA’s offense is likely to struggle with the ASU defense. The Sun Devils have had to win with defense this year, so I like the under to hit in this one.

College Football Week 9 Prediction: Arizona State/UCLA Under 55.5
