Fresh off a pounding of TCU in Fort Worth, the Oklahoma Sooners are back in action Saturday when they return home to host the Kansas State Wildcats. Will the two teams combine to score enough points to cash the over for bettors?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Sooners are 24.5-point favorites to beat the Wildcats. The total, meanwhile, sits at 64 points. As of this writing, 55% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Sooners.
Kansas State Wildcats
Kansas State redshirt sophomore QB Skylar Thompson completed 11-of-22 passes for 130 yards and ran for 80 yards in a 31-12 victory over Oklahoma State. Once again, Thompson wasn’t able to get to the 60 percent completion mark — he has done it just two times this year in his seven games — but he made enough plays with his legs to keep the chains moving. What he did most effectively is give the ball to Alex Barnes, who is on fire with seven scores in two weeks. Alex Delton could be back in two weeks, so we’ll see if he or Thompson Start against Oklahoma on October 27.
Oklahoma Sooners
Oklahoma redshirt junior QB Kyler Murray completed 19-of-24 passes for 213 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 51 yards in a 52-27 victory over TCU on Saturday. Not a huge yardage game from the Heisman contender, but that’s nitpicking. Murray had no trouble finding open receivers against the Horned Frogs, and the Sooners were also able to gash the TCU defense for 323 yards on the ground. In his first — and very likely last — year as the starting quarterback for the Sooners, Murray now has a 21/3 TD/INT ratio and impressive 71.3 completion percentage. We’ll see him back on the field next Saturday against Kansas State.

Prediction
This matchup reminds me somewhat of the game last week in Fort Worth. Oklahoma racked up a bunch of points but with TCU’s offense struggling, the over was somewhat in doubt. But the Horned Frogs still found a way to score 27 points to help push the combine score over the 61.5-point total. Kansas State is not a juggernaut offensively but Oklahoma will do most of the heavy lifting on that front. If the Wildcats can move the ball and get into he end zone against this suspect OU defense like TCU did, then the over should hit.
