A 100% chance of precipitation is expected today in Waco as thunderstorms continue to hit the area due to the remnants of Hurricane Patricia, which struck Mexico on Friday evening.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bears are still a 36.5-point favorites over the Cyclones, which is where the line was earlier this morning. Oddsmakers might not be able to adjust the line too much given Baylor’s explosive offense, which ranks No. 1 in total yards (719.7), No. 1 in points scored (63.8), and No. 2 in rushing yards (348.7) per game in the country.
The Bears have covered 20.5-point, 46-point, 17-point and 33-point spreads in each of the last four weeks, while the Cyclones are just 2-3 at the betting window overall this season. Iowa State and its 112th-ranked defense isn’t going to slow down Baylor, but perhaps the heavy rains will.
