Longhorns get a scare
The Texas football team is coming off a 50-48 win at home over Kansas last week in a bit of a score. The Longhorns are now 5-2 on the season, 3-1 in the Big 12, 4-3 against the spread and 5-2 with the over.
Texas has one of the best offenses in the nation, averaging 40.9 points and 482 yards per game. Defensively, the Longhorns are giving up 30.7 points and 469.9 yards per game, which puts them near the bottom of the country. Sam Ehlinger is leading the offense with 2,057 passing yards and 21 touchdowns while rushing for 318 yards and five touchdowns. Keaontay Ingram and Roschon Johnson have combined for 832 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground while Devin Duvernay has 61 receptions for 627 yards and six scores.
TCU drops another
The TCU football team is coming off a 24-17 loss at Kansas State last weekend for its second straight loss and third loss in four games. TCU is now 3-3 on the season, 1-2 in the Big 12, 2-4 against the spread and 3-3 with the over/under total.
The Horned Frogs have been pretty good on defense, allowing just 24.7 points and 284 yards per game. On offense, TCU is putting up 33.8 points and 441.5 yards per contest. Darius Anderson is leading the offense with 588 rushing yards and six touchdowns while Max Duggan has thrown for 874 yards and nine touchdowns without an interception. Jalen Reagor is his leading receiver with 271 yards on 23 catches with three touchdowns. Garret Wallow is leading the defense with 63 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
College Football Betting Trends
Texas
The Longhorns are 13-3 with the under in their last 16 games on grass and 45-19 with the under in their last 64 conference games.
TCU
TCU has hit the under in 20 of its last 29 conference games and in nine of its last 12 games in October.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in four straight meetings with each other. Texas has struggled more on defense than on offense this year. Their letdowns have still led to high-scoring battles. TCU isn’t a team that wants to get into a shootout, but I don’t think the Frogs have what it takes to stop Texas’ offense. TCU has already give up 41 at home to SMU and 49 on the road to Iowa State. I like the over to hit in this game.
