Sooners cruise to another win
Oklahoma made quick work of West Virginia last weekend when the Sooners earned a 52-14 win over West Virginia at home. OU is now 7-0 on the season, 4-0 in the Big 12, 4-3 against the spread and 3-3-1 with the over/under total.
The Sooners have the nation’s top offense again this season, as they are averaging 50.4 points and 612.9 yards per game. The goes along with a pretty solid defense that is giving up just 19.4 points and 327.6 yards per contest. Jalen Hurts is having a tremendous year, throwing for 2,074 yards and 20 touchdowns while rushing for 705 yards and 10 scores. Three different Oklahoma backs have over 350 rushing yards while CeeDee Lamb is the leading receiver with 31 catches for 681 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Kansas State ends skid
The Kansas State football team put an end to a brief two-game losing streak on Saturday when the Wildcats earned a 24-17 win at home over TCU. Kansas State is 4-2 on the season, 1-2 in the Big 12, 4-2 against the spread and 4-2 with the under.
K-State has been led by its defense this season. The Wildcats are giving up just 18.7 points and 347.7 yards per game this year, while the offense is putting up 30.2 points and 372 yards per game. Skylar Thompson has thrown for 994 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 165 yards and three scores this year. James Gilbert is the leading rusher with 453 yards and four touchdowns while Dalton Schoen is the leading receiver with 18 catches for 254 yards and three scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Oklahoma
The Sooners have hit the over in 13 of their last 20 games overall and in five straight trips to Kansas State.
Kansas State
The Wildcats have hit the over in four of their last five games overall and in seven of their last eight at home.
Prediction:
Oklahoma has won eight of the last 10 against Kansas State while going 7-2-1 with the over. The total is being set low for an Oklahoma game as oddsmakers seem to expect the K-State defense to slow down the Sooners. I just don’t see that happening. Oklahoma is averaging over 43 points in their last 10 against K-State. The Sooners have an offensive scheme that has been running over opponents for years and K-State just doesn’t have the athletes to slow them down. The Wildcats should be able to find some points at home to help the over hit.
