Bet on Eastern Michigan vs. Western Michigan

Western Michigan is rolling along this season. The Broncos are coming off a 41-0 win at Akron last week to improve to 7-0 on the season and 3-0 in the MAC. WMU is also 6-1 against the spread as they have won their last six games by at least 15 points or more. Western Michigan has a tremendous defense that is allowing 17.6 points and 337.6 yards per game, including just 207 passing yards per contest. The WMU offense is also great, averaging 44.3 points and 493.7 yards per game. Western has a tremendous rushing attack, averaging 265.6 yards per game on the ground. Eastern Michigan is having a tremendous year by its standards. The Eagles improved to 5-2 on the year last week with a 27-20 win at Ohio. Todd Porter, the team’s quarterback, has been injured for recent games and is questionable for today’s game, but Brogan Roback has played quite well in his absence. He has thrown for 602 yards and four touchdowns in his two starts. Ian Eriksen is the leading rusher with 428 yards and five touchdowns.

Western Michigan should definitely wins this game at home, but covering 23.5 points is a lot to ask. The Broncos have not won by that margin in their last two home games. However, Eastern Michigan has some questions on offense that should play into the WMU defense quite well. The Broncos should be able to hold them to a low total while the offense should be able to continue its dominant run game against this defense, which is giving up 28.3 points and 407.9 yards per game.
