N.C. State vs. Clemson Prediction
Will Clemson run it up enough to cover the spread versus N.C. State today at 12:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Tigers are now a 20-point home favorite versus the Wolfpack after opening as a 17-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 56.5 earlier this week but has jumped to 61.
N.C. State is now 4-1 against the spread in its last five games after covering versus Notre Dame last Saturday in a monsoon. The Wolfpack are also 10-3 against the spread in their last 13 games after accumulating less than 275 total yards in their previous game but are just 2-5 at the betting window in their last seven games coming off a win.
Clemson, meanwhile, is a perfect 4-0 against the number in its last four games overall and has covered the number in five of its last six home games. The Tigers are also 4-0 against the number in their last four conference games and are a perfect 5-0 at the betting window in their last five games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous contest.
OUR PREDICTION: Clemson has won four straight and 11 of the last 12 meetings with N.C. State, which is seeking its first road win over the Tigers since 2002 when Philip Rivers was playing quarterback. The Wolfpack have lost seven straight against ranked teams since knocking off No. 3 Florida State in 2012 and Clemson has won 19 straight home games, which is the longest home win streak in school history. Led by Quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has accounted for 10 touchdowns in two career starts versus N.C. State (seven pass, three rush), the Tigers should roll today.
