CSU vs. Boise State Prediction
Will Boise State roll tonight when it takes on Colorado State or will the Broncos come up short at 10:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Broncos are 27.5-point home favorites versus the Rams after opening at -29. As for the total, the number currently sits at 58 points after opening at 58.5.
The Rams are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games versus a team with a winning record, are 4-1 against the number in their last five games overall, and are 7-2 ATS in their lat nine road games versus a team that has a winning home record. That said, they're just 2-6 against the number in their last eight games played in the month of October.
The Broncos are winless at 0-5 against the spread in their last five home games and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. They're also 18-6 against the spread in their last 24 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
OUR PREDICTION: Colorado State has lost 17 straight meetings with AP-ranked opponents and 12 straight road games against ranked teams. The Rams’ last win over a ranked team came in 2002 against No. 7 Colorado, while their last road win over a ranked team came in 1998 against a Nick Saban-coached Michigan State team in East Lansing. Jeremy McNichols has been able to make an impact both on Boise State’s rushing and passing game. McNichols is averaging 111.6 rushing yards and 43.2 receiving yards per game, putting him in the top five nationally in scrimmage yards per game. Boise State should roll tonight at home and cover the big number.
