Missouri vs. Georgia Prediction
Will Georgia stomp Missouri tonight at 7:30PM ET or will the Tigers give the Dawgs a game between the hedges?
THE ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bulldogs are 29.5-point home favorites versus the Tigers, who opened as 28-point underdogs. As for the total, the number hit the board at 56.5 but has been bet up to 57 at the majority of online sports books.
MISSOURI TIGERS BETTING TRENDS: The Tigers are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall, are 1-5 against the number in their last six games played in October, and are 1-7 at the betting window in their last eight road games. They're also 4-11 at the betting window in their last 15 conference games and have failed to cover in six of their last eight games when facing a team with a winning record.
GEORGIA BULLDOGS BETTING TRENDS: The Bulldogs are 5-0 against the spread in their last five conference games, are 6-1 against the number in their last seven games overall, and are 6-0 against the spread in their last six games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous contest. They're also 4-1 at the betting window in their last five games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous contest. Public bettors are all over Georgia, laying the 29.5 points.
WHO COVERS: Missouri racks up a lot of yards but those yards tend to be hollow because the Tigers can't score. Drew Lock has struggled against conference opponents, especially on the road, which is a bad recipe for tonight. Georgia is smoking opponents on a weekly basis thanks to a combination of outstanding defense and one of the best rushing attacks in the nation. The Tigers are 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 conference games and I don't expect Missouri to put up much of a fight tonight in Athens.
